River health issues seen through the eyes of local students

Did you know that students from throughout the valley are raising questions about the health of our rivers and creating projects to find answers to those questions? Join the Eagle River Watershed Council this Wednesday, May 19, at 5:00 pm, for our monthly Water Wise Wednesday. Local students from Berry Creek Middle School, Vail Mountain School, and Vail Christian High School will be our presenters. Each of these students will speak in turn about the work they do monitoring the rivers, creeks, and streams of our valley and the interesting conclusions they have gleamed from their efforts.

Come hear VMS's Brett Ferarro who has been working on the Eagle River and two BCMS students who have been doing field research on Berry Creek.

WWW will be held at the Colorado Mountain College in Edwards. Enter through the front entrance and follow the WWW signs to the event room. Refreshments served at 5:00 with presentations starting at 5:30.
