The Watershed Council strives to take a proactive approach to educating our entire community about water. We want to provide our audience with information about water topics and issues that are pertinent here in our mountain home, as well as across the state and around the West. From children to adults, we know that each person has an impact on our watershed and we want to give every individual the knowledge they need to become an informed advocate for our rivers and streams. We want to be on the water, in your classrooms, at Town Council meetings, and in your calendar, providing watershed education through any and every medium available to us!

To participate, volunteer or request an educational event, please contact James Dilzell, Education & Outreach Coordinator, at (970) 827-5406 or via email at
