16TH ANNUAL COMMUNITY PRIDE HIGHWAY CLEANUP
I70, Highways 6, 24 & 131
Cleanup 9am to noon
Thank You BBQ noon to 2pm
Each April, following the end of ski season and as the spring melt gets underway, trash and debris emerges after a long winter buried in layers of snow. Eagle River Watershed Council’s Community Pride Highway Cleanup presented by Vail Resorts EpicPromise is our way of sprucing up the valley for residents and visitors alike!
We’re always looking for more volunteers! To become a Team Leader or join an existing team, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at the office (970)827-5406.
Each month we hit the water to collect samples from three sites along the Eagle River near Minturn. Our sampling is part of the River Watchprogram, a state-wide effort coordinated by Colorado Parks & Wildlife. We test for pH, alkalinity, metals, temperature, flow levels and more. This is part of the ongoing effort to monitor water quality below the abandoned Eagle Mine. Learn more about River Watch here.
